The general health advice to consume several servings of fruit every day has been around for a while, and this has led people to drink more fruit juice and juice-based drinks as a way to do this. While most fruits are healthy snacks (I'll be debunking claims against fruit next), juice is another story. The first thing to consider is the fact that fruit juices & smoothies that you buy in the store are almost all full of added sugar.
